Fix opening QML based settings is twitchy and unreliable on Windows touch (Surface Pro-like) devices

* Remove leftover debugging message
* Fix segfault on Linux at close for #3164

Map control use different border color based on map type

This way we don't need macro-magic to deal with
different operating systems and compilers.
